Author portrait

Leo Coleman

Every morning, before I write a single sentence, I read three things: a mainstream headline, its satirical counterpart, and whatever the comment sections are furious about. That ritual keeps me honest — and keeps my analysis sharp.

Writer. Analyst. Occasional Myth-Buster.

I spend my days dissecting how stories get told, who tells them, and what gets quietly left out. Alternative and satirical media fascinate me precisely because they hold a mirror up to the news cycle in ways that straight reporting rarely dares. My writing grows directly from that hands-on immersion — I test ideas before I publish them, follow threads until they either confirm or collapse, and only then put words on the page.

Whether you are completely new to reading between the lines or you have been doing it for years, I write with both of you in mind. Here is what you can generally expect from my work:

  • Clear breakdowns of complex media dynamics, without the jargon
  • Honest assessments that follow the evidence, not the narrative
  • Practical takeaways you can actually apply to your own reading habits
  • A healthy dose of wit, because the news rarely lacks material

Let's Talk

If something I write sparks a question, a disagreement, or even just a knowing laugh, I genuinely want to hear it. Find me over on the contact page — the conversation is always open.
