News That Knows It's Lying to You

Every other outlet pretends to be objective. We skip that part.

Stultus.news was born from a simple observation: the most honest thing a media organization can do right now is admit it has a point of view. The difference is, ours is funny. While cable anchors furrow their brows over "developing situations" and think-piece writers discover systemic problems they'll forget by Thursday, we're here translating the spectacle into something you can actually laugh at — which, frankly, is the only sane response left.

We cover politics, media, culture, and the slow-motion theater of public life. Not to inform you of things you already half-know, but to hold a mirror up to the absurdity and say: yes, you're seeing this correctly. The emperor has no clothes, the press conference was scripted, and the bipartisan consensus is that nobody should mention the bipartisan consensus.

What you'll find here:

  • Satirical breakdowns of headlines that deserve better (or worse) treatment
  • Alternative readings of official narratives — the ones that make more sense
  • Media criticism that doesn't pretend media criticism is neutral
  • Opinion written by people who have opinions, unapologetically

This isn't cynicism. Cynicism gives up. Satire still cares enough to mock — and that, against all evidence, is a form of hope.
